Loan Application
Everything you need to know before you apply for a Cairo Bank Uganda loan - what to have ready, the steps involved, and what happens after you submit.
Before you start, have these ready
- A valid national ID (NIN) or passport.
- Your Cairo Bank Uganda account number. A Cairo Bank account is required to apply - open an account first if you do not have one.
- Recent pay slips or bank statements, and your employer or business details.
- An idea of how much you want to borrow and over how many months. The loan calculator can help you decide.
- Digital copies of your ID and supporting documents (JPG, PNG, HEIC or PDF, up to 10 MB each).
The application has six short steps
- Your details - name, contact, date of birth, ID number and account number.
- About the loan - which facility, how much, over how long, and what it is for.
- Employment and income - your employer or business, net monthly income and scheme status.
- Upload your ID and supporting documents.
- Declaration and consent - accuracy, data processing and credit reference bureau authorisation.
- Review and submit - check your answers before anything is sent.
What happens after you submit
Submitting the form is not an approval. Our credit team reviews your application, obtains your credit report from a licensed credit reference bureau, may request further documents, and contacts you using the details you provide.
No funds are released until appraisal, affordability assessment and Cairo Bank Uganda credit approval are complete. A credit bureau fee applies per the bank tariff.
